Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to use Moments?
No. There is no sign-up, no login, and no account of any kind. Open the app and start logging — every feature is available immediately.
How do I log a mindful moment?
On the Practice tab, tap Add a moment. Choose the date and a duration, then pick how you felt. Activity and note are optional. Tap Save.
Durations come as quick presets — 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, and 60 minutes — and you can tap Custom to type any length instead.
How does the streak work?
Your streak counts back from today over consecutive calendar days that each have at least one logged moment. The length of a moment doesn't matter — one mindful minute keeps the streak alive just as well as an hour.
Today counts as soon as you log a moment, and your streak stays intact for the rest of the day even before you've logged — so a streak only breaks once a full day passes with nothing logged. Streaks are calculated in your device's local time zone.
What does the Progress tab show me?
Your total mindful hours and number of moments all time, your current day streak, minutes logged this week, a 7-day chart of the current week, and a breakdown of which feelings come up most in your practice.
How do I turn on Apple Health sync?
Open Settings in the app and enable Apple Health. iOS will ask for permission the first time. Once it's on, each moment you save is also written to Health as a Mindful Minutes session, and deleting a moment in Moments removes the matching Health entry too.
Sync is off by default and only ever writes to Health — Moments does not read anything from your Health data. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Moments. Health sync is iOS-only.
Where is my data stored? Does it sync between devices?
Everything is stored locally on your device, and there is no cloud account behind the app — so no, your moments do not sync between devices.
If you have device backups enabled (iCloud Backup or a computer backup), your Moments data is included in that backup, which means restoring a new device from it will bring your history along.
How do I delete a moment, or all of my data?
To delete a single moment, tap the ✕ on it in the recent list on the Practice tab and confirm. If Apple Health sync is on, the matching Health entry is removed as well.
To delete everything, uninstall the app. Because all data lives on your device, removing the app removes your entire history and all preferences. This cannot be undone, so export or note anything you want to keep first.
Mindful sessions already written to Apple Health are managed by Health itself. To remove those, open the Health app and delete them there.
Which languages does Moments support?
English, Español, Français, Deutsch, and Հայերեն. Moments starts in your device language when it's one of these, and falls back to English otherwise. You can change it any time in Settings.
Does Moments collect any data about me?
No. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs collecting anything. The app makes no network requests at all. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
I found a bug or have a feature idea.
