Privacy Policy
Your practice is yours alone.
Effective 26 July 2026. This policy covers the Moments mobile app for iOS and Android, published by Tigran Simonyan.
The short version
Moments collects nothing. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. The app makes no network requests, so the data you log physically cannot leave your device. Nobody — including the developer — can see your moments.
1. Information collected
None. Moments does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share any personal information. There is no sign-up, no login, no user profile, and no backend server associated with the app. No advertising identifiers, device identifiers, or usage analytics are gathered.
2. Information stored on your device
Everything you enter is saved in the app's private storage on your own device and stays there. This includes:
- Your logged moments — the date, the duration in minutes, the feeling you selected, and optionally an activity and a free-text note.
- Your preferences — your chosen display language and whether Apple Health sync is turned on.
This data is never uploaded anywhere. It is not accessible to the developer or to any third party. The app reads your device's language setting locally in order to display translated text; that information is not recorded or transmitted.
3. Apple Health (iOS only)
Moments offers an optional integration with Apple Health. It is turned off by default and only becomes active if you enable it in Settings and grant permission when iOS asks.
- Write-only. When enabled, Moments saves each logged moment to Apple Health as a Mindful Session (a start time and an end time). The app requests no read permission at all and does not read your Health data — not your mindful minutes, and not any other health or fitness category.
- Stays on your device. Health data written by Moments goes only into Apple's Health app on the same device. It is never transmitted to the developer or to anyone else.
- Never used for advertising. Health data is never used for advertising, marketing, data mining, or any similar purpose, and is never disclosed or sold to third parties.
- Deletion is mirrored. Deleting a moment in Moments also removes the corresponding Mindful Session that Moments wrote to Health.
- You stay in control. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Moments, or switch the toggle off inside the app.
Apple Health itself is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not this one.
4. No analytics, advertising, or tracking
Moments contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK, no advertising network, no social login, and no third-party tracking of any kind. It does not track you across apps or websites. The app makes no network requests during normal use.
5. Device backups
If you have backups enabled on your device (iCloud Backup, or a backup to your computer, or an equivalent on Android), your Moments data may be included in that backup. Those backups belong to you and are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms — the developer has no access to them. You can manage or disable backups in your device settings.
6. Children's privacy
Moments does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because no data is gathered or transmitted, no personal information about a child under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) is ever received by the developer.
7. Your rights and your control
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data a company holds about you. Because Moments transmits no data and the developer holds no data about you, there is nothing on our side to request — you already have complete and direct control:
- Review or correct — all of your moments are visible and editable in the app.
- Delete one entry — tap the ✕ on a logged moment and confirm.
- Delete everything — uninstall the app. This permanently removes all logged moments and preferences from your device.
- Remove Health entries — mindful sessions already stored in Apple Health can be deleted from the Health app.
8. App stores
Downloading Moments is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those platforms may collect their own information about downloads and devices under their respective privacy policies. The developer receives only the aggregate, anonymous statistics those stores choose to report (such as total download counts) and never receives information that identifies an individual user.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes to how the app handles your data will also be noted in the app's release notes.
